Its story
The celestial unicorn —Monoceros, that quiet constellation between Orion and Canis Major— hosts a yellow-white F-type star 130 light-years away. Its light departed around 1896, just as Becquerel was discovering radioactivity and opening the door to twentieth-century physics. These photons, exact contemporaries of the radiant atom, arrive now at magnitude 5.75.
