59 Orionis burns 365 light-years away, in one of the most spectacular stretches of the sky. It is a white A-type star, mildly variable, perched on the outskirts of Orion, the eternal hunter with his three aligned belt stars. The whole constellation is a showcase of young suns and glowing nebulae, and this star is part of that luminous fabric.
