Its story
109 Tauri is a yellow G-type sun about 247 light-years away, akin to our own but older and more luminous. Catalogued by Flamsteed at the eastern reach of the Bull, its quiet glow only yields under clean, dark skies. The light now lighting the observer's page set out in the heart of the eighteenth century, when astronomy was beginning to measure the universe with ever finer instruments —and still arrives today as a muted heartbeat, faithful to its solar kind.
