Variable starIts story
In the Giraffe —Camelopardalis, that lean, little-known northern figure— lives a blue-white B-type variable, young and hot. Its light departed in the late seventeenth century, as Isaac Newton was writing his Principia and formulating universal gravitation. It still flickers today, 378 years later, as if underlining the reading of that book.
