Its story

94 Tauri, also catalogued as Tau Tauri, is a blue-white B-type star some 398 light-years away. It belongs to the field of the bull —that constellation inhabited by the Hyades and the Pleiades, two famous, nearby clusters. Though not part of them, it shares its neighbourhood with some of the most ancient and photographed stars of the winter sky.
