Northern polar starIts story
Near the celestial north pole, within the throne of Cepheus, shines a yellow-white star 138 light-years away. Its light set out around 1888, the year Van Gogh was painting his «Starry Night over the Rhône». F-type stars are slightly hotter cousins of the Sun: they live less but also more vibrantly, marking the sky with a barely golden white.
