Hot blue starIts story
29 Tauri burns hot and blue across the Bull, on the same celestial latitude as the Pleiades. It is a B-type star, far more massive and far younger than the Sun, whose colour betrays a surface above ten thousand degrees. Its light crosses 534 years before reaching our eyes —it left when Charles V signed the abdication that split his empire in two.
