What is 52 Pegasi
52 Pegasi is a white A-type star 308 light-years away, set in vast Pegasus —the winged horse whose body traces the famous Square of Autumn. Its hot atmosphere gives it a clean blue-white tone, without golden cast. Pegasus was one of the first constellations to host a confirmed exoplanet —the 1995 discovery of 51 Pegasi b, not far from this star— opening the era of extrasolar worlds.

52 Pegasi lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is September: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
