64 Andromedae is a G-type star 399 light-years away, in the constellation that recalls the princess chained to the cliff, awaiting the sea-monster. It shares the Sun's spectral class —the same basic chemistry, the same faintly yellow light— but four centuries of light-speed travel separate them: hers is the pulse of a more distant sun, anchored in another galactic neighbourhood.
