Its story
In polar Cepheus, beside its silhouette of a seated king, shines a yellow G-type star at 616 light-years. Its light began its journey around 1410, in the midst of the Western Schism, when several popes were vying for Christendom and Gothic art was spreading through European cathedrals. It is a distant sun of solar temperament, with a warm-toned surface only a touch yellower than ours.
