Its story

An unnamed yellow star in Aquila, strikingly distant. Its light set off 1213 years ago, around the year 813, when Charlemagne —already elderly— was preparing the succession of his empire. Yellower than the Sun and very luminous, it is a G of very high brightness: a giant or supergiant that easily surpasses solar glow. An aged sun whose golden echo reaches us from the Middle Ages.
