Its story

Omicron Draconis is a variable orange giant some three hundred and forty light-years away, set in the long serpentine body that coils around the north celestial pole. Draco never sets for European observers: it turns with thousand-year patience around the pole star, and Omicron follows that motion like a steady ember pulsing slowly in its furthest scale.
