Its story

In Hercules, the kneeling hero of the summer sky, shines a white star. Its light crossed some 327 years before reaching us: it set out around 1699, while Newton was publishing his advances in optics and Frederick IV's reign was beginning in Denmark. Hotter and more massive than the Sun, it looks like a silver flash pinned to the demigod's shoulder.
