A blue O-class supergiant in Circinus, colossal, whose Hipparcos-derived light suggests an unusually vast distance—on the order of hundreds of thousands of light-years, in the outer reaches of the galactic halo. O-stars like this burn so quickly that their entire existence would fit within a blink of human civilization: pure ultraviolet fury scattered against the void.
