Its story
Near the pole, in the Little Bear, hums a yellow-white star just 82.7 light-years away. Its light set out as the Wright brothers were testing the first powered flights at Kitty Hawk —a clean century of silent travel through vacuum. A class-F sun, slightly hotter and more vigorous than ours, it spins about the northern sky's axis like a lucid ember that never sets.
