Its story

In Lupus, the celestial wolf prowling beside the Centaur, glints a white A-type star some 221 light-years away. Its light set off in the early nineteenth century, when the Napoleonic Wars were redrawing Europe's political map and the Enlightenment was giving way to Romanticism. Hotter than the Sun, its crisp brilliance is like a fang of cold light gleaming between the dark jaws of the celestial predator.
