Its story
The Great Bear is one of the first figures a child learns to recognise, but among its seven bright stars hide dozens of discreet ones like this orange star, three hundred and thirty-five light-years away. Its light set out around 1690, when John Locke was publishing his «Essay Concerning Human Understanding» in London. K-type, orange-toned, brightness right at the limit of the naked eye: present without being seen.
