10 Cassiopeiae is a blue-white B9 giant whose spectrum shows emission lines: a Be star, the signature of a circumstellar disc spun off by rapid rotation. Its brightness varies slightly between 5.54 and 5.59, and its luminosity exceeds 447 times that of the Sun. It lies at 868 light-years within Cassiopeia's W, demanding a clean sky to be spotted.
