Its brightness varies slightly between 5.54 and 5.59, and its luminosity exceeds 447 times that of the Sun. It lies at 868 light-years within Cassiopeia's W, demanding a clean sky to be spotted.

10 Cassiopeiae lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is November: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
