Northern polar starIts story
Near the celestial north pole, in Camelopardalis, beats a yellow-white F-type star about 133 light-years away. Its light set out around 1893, the year of the Chicago World's Fair, when Tesla and Edison waged their current wars under electric lamps. It barely moves in the northern sky: turning slowly around the invisible axis of the world.
