Subra
Omi
Its story
Subra, also «al-zubrah» in Arabic — «the mane» — completes the lion's ruff in the constellation Leo, just behind the front paws of the celestial beast. It is a white star 130 light-years away, bright and steady, with no striking singularities: a precise, almost geometric point in the spring sky. Its light set out while the first electrical transformers were still being invented and household electricity remained a noisy fairground promise.
