Its story
In the southern keel of Carina, far from the famous names of the sky, a white star burns 252 light-years away. Its light departed around 1773, during the reign of Charles III, when Spanish sailors were charting the coasts of the Pacific. An A-type star, young and hot, easily seen from the southern hemisphere.
