Nu
Its story
Nu Pictoris is a white double 157 light-years away, in the Painter's Easel, one of the southern constellations Lacaille named during his expedition to the Cape of Good Hope in 1751-1753. Pictor is a quiet figure with no very bright stars, and Nu belongs to that class of lights only seen well far from cities. A painter of the sky drawn in very fine ink on a dark canvas.
