Its story
On the outskirts of Orion, far from the Belt, shines a yellow-white star of type F, slightly hotter than the Sun. Its light crossed 121 years: it left in 1904, as Hilbert was publishing in Göttingen his contributions to Euclidean geometry. A discreet flame in the most theatrical constellation of the sky, behind the clamour of Betelgeuse and Rigel.
