Its story
At 349 light-years, on the edge of Taurus, a yellow star sends its light toward us. It departed around 1677, when Newton was working on his Principia and comets were beginning to be studied as bodies bound by universal laws. It is a G class star like the Sun, but older and more massive: it has swollen its outer layers and slightly reddened its golden hue. A distant neighbor in one of the sky regions most densely populated with open clusters.
