Its story
Camelopardalis, the silent giraffe of the polar sky, hides this orange star 469 light-years away. Her light departed around 1557, while Tycho Brahe was observing a supernova in Cassiopeia that would forever change the European view of the «unchanging» heavens. An ordinary, unassuming K, like so many that populate the less-portrayed corners of the firmament.
