Its story
In the discreet Reticulum of the southern sky —a constellation named by La Caille after a measuring instrument—, an orange giant casts its light across 358 years. It left as Newton was publishing his «Opticks» and beginning to unravel the colours of light. A class-K sun, cooler and older than ours, it offers a warm and quiet glow among constellations seldom visited by the human eye.
