Its story
Within Cepheus, this nameless white star has been sending a calm gleam for 213 years. Its light set off in 1813, when Europe was fighting the Battle of Leipzig against Napoleon. Hotter than the Sun, with a surface around nine thousand degrees, it has the bluish-white tone characteristic of A-types. In a constellation evoking a legendary king, an unnamed star reminds us that the vast majority of the sky has never been baptised.
