Its story
Lambda Pegasi sits south of Pegasus's head, where the winged horse leans toward the celestial equator. It is a yellow G-type giant whose light has been travelling for more than 365 years before touching our eyes —as many as the Gregorian calendar has been counted. It belongs to the lattice of middle-magnitude stars that give body to one of the oldest, most recognisable constellations of the northern hemisphere.
