Its story
It shines in Cepheus, the Ethiopian king of Greek myth, perched near the northern celestial pole. An F-type star, white-yellow and slightly warmer than the Sun, its light set out some 122 years ago —just as Marie Curie was earning her first Nobel Prize and opening the doors to the atomic age. A modest but steady glow in the circumpolar sky, visible only under truly dark heavens.
